About IIST and Conscientia
Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, a premier institution under the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), is proud to present its annual technology and astronomy festival, Conscientia 2011. This festival is the only fest in the country with an entire section devoted to astronomy and space sciences. It is being held from 3rd to 6th March 2011 at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
Events
From RC planes to robo-wars, from hacking to cracking, from mechanisms to electric circuits, Conscientia's events are sure to enthrall any genre of students. Add to this, a total prize money of worth Rs. 3,00,000 and you have one of the largest technical festivals in the country.
Workshops
As the name suggests, Conscientia is all about sharing 'knowledge' and what better way than a hands-on workshop. Telescope-making, robotics, digital image processing, RC plane are a few of the workshops that will take place under Conscientia.
Lectures
Lectures and Video Conferences from well-known personalities like Prof. Sunil Mukhi, a renowned string theorist and Prof. Mario Livio, author and scientist.
